Team Lead
Christabel is a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience. Christabel is interested in human-centered medicine, working with communities to create sustainable health solutions

Osei Owusu Badu

Skills and Sustainability Officer
Osei Owusu Kwabena Badu is a youth advocate and digital skills trainer with over four years of experience in community-based education and social impact.
At Sanbra, he serves as a core facilitator, leading workshops on creativity, entrepreneurship, and digital safety to support youth recovery and reintegration in Ejisu-Kwaso.

Elvis Frimpong Aboagye

Tech Lead
Elvis leads the development of HyCares’ digital platforms, ensuring our solutions are accessible, secure, and scalable.
With a passion for ethical technology and community-centered design, he builds tools that connect, support, and empower young people across Ghana.

Mr James Nii Amar Aryiku

Mental Health Specialist
Mr. Aryiku is an advanced nurse specialist in community mental health with over 12 years of experience in clinical care, psychiatric rehabilitation, and policy-informed practice.
He currently serves as a consultant at WillingWay Rehabilitation Center and lectures part-time at Garden City University College.

Augustina Boadifaa Agyemang Duah

On-Site Clinical Lead
Augustina Boadifaa Agyemang Duah is a Community Mental Health Officer at the University Hospital, KNUST, with over four years of experience in counseling and psychiatric care.
She serves as one of Sanbra’s core clinical leads, regularly present on-site to ensure participant safety, provide psychoeducation, and support trauma-informed activities throughout the program

Anita Adubea

On-Site Community Mental Health Professional, Sanbra Project
Principal Community Mental Health Officer, Ejisu Government Hospital
Anita Adubea is passionate about spreading wellness one person at a time. As Sanbra’s on-site community mental health professional.
She offers guidance, counseling, and crisis support to participants. Her work at Ejisu Government Hospital and in the community reflects her deep commitment to accessible, compassionate mental health care.

King David Agyare Asante 

Project Coordinator
King David is a Chemical Engineering graduate from KNUST with strong project planning and coordination skills.
At Sanbra, he oversees session logistics, manages community engagement, and ensures smooth delivery of each intervention day.

Theophilus Opoku

Sanbra Initiative Field Fellow
Theophilus Opoku is an aspiring Biomedical Engineer from Ghana with a passion for using neurotechnology and community health to create affordable solutions that ease suffering.
At Sanbra, he plays a key role in designing and facilitating recovery support for youth facing substance use and mental health challenges. He helps lead weekly sessions and ensures each participant feels supported.

Jowica Boakyewaah Frimpong

Sanbra Initiative Field Fellow
Jowica Boakyewaah Frimpong is a graduate of St. Louis Senior High School with hands-on experience in community mobilization, peer support, and youth engagement.
At Sanbra, she plays a key role in coordinating outreach, supporting daily program activities, and helping participants feel seen, heard, and included.

Adjoa Sarpong

Research and Program Development Associate
Adjoa Sarpong is a research and data associate with experience in molecular science, diagnostics, and public health program design.
At Sanbra, she supports research and development, leading efforts in data analysis, evaluation, and program development to ensure evidence-based delivery and continuous improvement of our youth mental health model.

James Bannor

Volunteer
James Bannor is an engineering student who thrives at the intersection of technology, innovation, and social impact.
As a HyCARES volunteer lead, he brings technical acumen and an energetic, hands-on spirit to every project. Whether coordinating logistics, brainstorming sustainable health solutions, or supporting peer-led interventions, James approaches each challenge with curiosity and a strong sense of purpose.

Christabel Pokuah Essumang

Volunteer
Christabel Pokua Essumang is a nursing student at KNUST with a deep passion for health equity and youth empowerment.
As a volunteer lead with HyCARES, she plays a key role in organizing outreach activities, mentoring new volunteers, and fostering a supportive environment where open conversations around mental health can thrive. Christabel is known for her warm presence, creative approach to problem-solving, and ability to connect deeply with those around her.
